Our Destination Trailers require minimal infrastructure and have a minor footprint on your land and the environment. Our new 2022 models include solar panels to further reduce running cost. Unlike traditional static caravans our RV’s require minimal 10 to 16amp hook up and are towed to your location. No costly concrete base, compacted stone or in some circumstances grass can be sufficient.

We offer planning and operational guidance, plus a full delivery, set-up, and relocation service throughout UK & Europe. Longfield Stables Caravan RV Park
A small agricultural small holding of just under 4 acres was purchased in 2007. Initially five hard standing pitches were created, and a Certificated Location (CL) Licence was granted by the Caravan and Motorhome Club. The Licence allows for up to five pitches for touring caravans and motorhomes. No caravan or motorhome can stay for more than 28 days at a time and usually planning permission is not required. CL owners are required to be members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club and have the benefit of free listing to 370,000 members and support and advice of a CL Advisor.

However, if you need to construct buildings or other structures, or need to carry out any engineering works such as ground formation, all-weather surfacing, septic tank, or effluent treatment plant installation you should approach your local planning authority to discuss the proposed works and they will advise if planning permission is required.

In 2010 the 1-RV caravan sales business had been established, and we started to exhibit firstly at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham and subsequently at various national caravan and motorhome trade shows.
Both the caravan site and 1-RV sales business grew in popularity and in 2017 Longfield Stables Caravan Park was established and full planning consent granted for 22 Static Holiday Caravans.

From 2022 Longfield Stables could claim to be the UK’s first all American Recreational Vehicle Park.
All our pitches are fully serviced with 16amp electric hook up, freshwater city connection, grey and black waste connected to underground drainage system, and WiFi connection. Each large private plot has complimentary decking to best enjoy our luxury destination trailers/caravans and amazing views across the Teign Valley and Hay Tor on Dartmoor. The park is in easy reach of coastal attractions at Torquay, Paignton, Seaton, Teignmouth, Dawlish, Brixham and Dartmouth. Shopping in the cathedral city of Exeter is a short drive, and the port city of Plymouth around a 50-minute drive. The Park is open all year and the owner lives on site in the Reception Lodge. Added security for caravan owners is provided by 24-hour electric gate entry and CCTV. All pitches are currently full, but we do have a waiting list as pitches do occasionally change ownership.

Tree Tops and Haldon View Caravan Parks
Other parks follows the same process of developing Caravan Parks from small agriculture parcels of land. These include Tree Tops in North Devon Coastline near Bude and at Haldon View in South Devon near Teignmouth and Torquay. In association with these parks 1-RV offer both practical and financial guidance, together with introductions from customers who want to site their RV on these ideally located sites.
